Festival Rhymetime @ Westbury Library

It just wouldn’t be festival fortnight without the rhymetime events that take place every Friday morning at the Library.

Led by library staff and amazing volunteers, the sessions are free to attend and there’s no need to book, so parents/grandparents.carers just come along and have some fun with your baby or toddler!

The 10-10.30 am session is aimed primarily at babies with nursery rhymes, bouncing and clapping.  The 11-11.30 session is for slightly older toddlers with lots of action, songs and musical instruments.

Mega Pub Quiz @ The Laverton

An opportunity for Westbury’s pubs and bars to show off their knowledge in this Mega Pub Quiz.

There will be a professional fully independent quiz master, six rounds over two hours with a 20 minute break and a prize of £100 and a trophy for the winning team.

The bar will be open and free nibbles for the teams.

Come and watch your team triumph!!

£10 entry per team of 6 max.

Superheroes and Scrapstore @ All Saints Parish Hall

Westbury Festival are teaming up with the Wiltshire Scrapstore and the Coalition of Super Heroes to give local children the chance to get creative and become a super hero!

Real life super hero characters from the films will keep the crafters company and children can take their own creations home to enjoy.  So if you want to be a storm trooper, Batman or Captain America, this is the place to be!

Refreshments will be available.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Come and Sing! @ Methodist Church

Take this opportunity to join in with Westbury Choral and enjoy an afternoon of singing with Luke Pickett conducting and Rob Danter as accompanist.

You don’t need experience or be able to sight-read, just come along and raise your voice to the rafters!

Songs, Tea, Cake and company @ Methodist Church

An event primarily for senior citizens, particularly those who don’t manage to get out too often, but who enjoy the opportunity to socialise.  If that is you, then a special welcome awaits.

In association with Goldies UK, come and enjoy some company and a sing-along (join in or listen to everyone else!) to the popular hits of the 50s onwards with artists like our Patron, Sir Cliff Richard, Petula Clark, Dusty Springfield and Sir Tom Jones.

Leading the event will be Rachel Parry, organiser for Goldies Cymru (Wales).

And there is the added bonus of tea and cake!!

Although there is no charge for tickets, it is advisable to book for this event to guarantee a place.
