An Evening with Chris Jagger
Chris Jagger is probably best known as a musician but he has had a long and varied career. He has written hundreds of songs which he has recorded and published with a dozen albums – some solo, some with his band Atcha.
The band features Elliet Mackrell on violin who knows Chris’s songs inside out and is a very accomplished player, Paul Atkinson on drums who has more than fifty years playing with a wealth of bands across the country and Paul O’Reilly – an excellent bassist.
It’s fifty years too since Chris released his first LP. He is pleased to note that vinyl is making a comeback and he has his recent excellent LP ‘Mixing up the Medicine’ to choose from as well as over a hundred recorded and published tracks.
but describe Chris only as a musician would hugely underate his achievements.
Chris is an author and a journalist published in The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The Mail on Sunday, The Independent on Sunday, and Rolling Stone. His autobiography “Talking to Myself” was published in 2021

He’s also a clothes designer famously creating the eyeball coat that Jimi Hendrix wore on the cover of his seminal album, Are You Experienced.
In England, he has organised charity concerts, including in support of Bosnia (Bop for Bosnia) and Tibet, including one at Alexandra Palace in London in the presence of the Dalai Lama, where the acts included David Gilmour and Sinéad O’Connor.
He even founded a guitar company with Pat Townshend to produce a magnesium alloy guitar, The Staccato, with a swappable neck and bridge.
