Although Lorraine has performed at the festival before as Musical Director of the popular, ladies’ Songbirds choir, this year we are pleased that Lorraine will be performing solo. She is very excited to be singing as part of the festival – it will be her first performance since well before the first lockdown in March 2020 – so please go gentle on her! She intends to sing a selection of songs including light opera, sacred song and musical theatre.
Lorraine is an experienced and qualified music educator of 30 years specialising in the voice and singing. She has taught all ages and abilities, from beginner 4 year olds to professionals in the West End. She also provides support and advice on a professional basis for a local hospital’s Speech & Language Department.
Lorraine has previously played roles including Calamity Jane (Calamity Jane), Dorothy (Wizard of Oz), and Eliza Doolittle (My Fair Lady) and has also toured internationally as Soprano Soloist, including performances in Australia, Belgium, France, Germany and the UK.
