This is such a popular event in the festival that we can’t help but repeat it each year.
Our licence doesn’t allow us to actually name the film we will be showing but we can give you a hint or two!
This Merchant Ivory film is a story of Edwardian love with poppies, barley and the amazing architecture of Florence to decorate the screen.
There is a fabulous cast, beautiful cinematography, an awesome adapted script (from the novel by E M Forster) and a tale of oppressed desire.
Detailed period pieces and costumes; the cast is phenomenal with Helena Bonham-Caste, the great Maggie Smith and Jonathan Sands. The adaptation is superb and rates as one of the best films of the 80s. Terrific!
The film is free but you can enjoy a delightful cream tea for a fiver. Not to be missed! You can book your tickets here:
