Bad puns aside, this year’s Festival has two narrowboat related events.
The first will be a talk about the historic and mostly lost Wilts & Berks canal and the on-going efforts to restore the roue in the hope that narrowboats may one day be able to navigate form Melksham to Abingdon – the “new” M4 notwithstanding.
We also have a hands-on event where you will be shown how to decorate objects using the “Roses and Castles” style associate with British narrowboats.
